📖 Introduction
Every sentence tells us about someone, something, or somewhere. The words that name these people, places, animals, ideas or things are called nouns. Sometimes, however, a single noun is not enough to give a clear picture. We add extra words to describe it, creating a noun phrase.
For example, instead of saying “dog,” you could say “the friendly brown dog.” The second expression gives much more information.
