- Justice and fairness.
- Tolerance.
- Cooperation.
- Freedom from fear.
- Peaceful settlement of disagreements.
People do not always have to agree with one another to live peacefully. What matters is how they manage their differences.
What Is Security?
Security refers to a condition in which people, property, communities, and institutions are protected from danger, violence, crime, and other threats.
A secure society enables people to go about their lawful activities without unnecessary fear.

The Relationship Between Peace and Security
Peace and security are closely related.
Without adequate security, people may live in fear, and maintaining peace becomes difficult. Similarly, where violence and conflict are widespread, security is threatened.
For example, when people settle disagreements peacefully and respect the law, the likelihood of violence and insecurity is reduced.
Therefore:
Peace promotes security, and security helps create conditions in which peace can be maintained.
