About Course

The final-year JHS maths course for Ghanaian BECE candidates. Across 13 units and 149 short lessons, students master surds, financial maths, simultaneous equations, change of subject, constructions, vectors, enlargement, statistics and probability.

Each topic starts with a quick review of earlier work, then builds step by step to the harder questions BECE candidates face. Real-life problems on interest, tax, discounts, data and measurement show how maths is used every day.

By the end of the course, students will have revised every key area of JHS maths and be ready to sit the BECE with confidence.

What Will You Learn?

  • Use standard form, significant figures and three-set Venn diagrams
  • Simplify, add, multiply and rationalise surds
  • Solve problems on interest, tax, discount, commission, depreciation and insurance
  • Solve simultaneous equations using graphs
  • Substitute into formulae, change the subject and factorise expressions
  • Solve linear equations and inequalities, and apply them to real-life problems
  • Find angles in polygons, and use similar and congruent triangles
  • Construct incircles, circumcircles and quadrilaterals, and find surface area
  • Work with bearings, vectors and enlargement
  • Analyse data with histograms and averages, and solve dependent probability problems
