About Course

Build a strong foundation in JHS 1 Mathematics through clear explanations, practical activities and step-by-step worked examples.

This course covers numbers, fractions, percentages, ratios, algebra, geometry, measurement, data and probability based on Ghana’s NaCCA/GES curriculum.

Learners will develop confidence in calculations, mathematical reasoning and problem-solving while applying concepts to everyday situations and preparing progressively for more advanced Mathematics and future BECE-level work.

What Will You Learn?

  • Read, compare, order and round large numbers
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide confidently, and solve word problems
  • Use indices, prime factors, HCF and LCM
  • Work with fractions, decimals and percentages, and convert between them
  • Solve problems with ratio, rates and proportion
  • Find number patterns, and form and solve simple equations
  • Measure angles and construct angles, bisectors and perpendicular lines
  • Calculate perimeter, circumference and area
  • Use bearings, vectors, reflections and translations
  • Collect and present data, find averages and calculate simple probability
